Day 178: First Thing!



 
I went to the gym this morning. Before practically everything else on my list! First things first! :)


 This may be the ticket. I am often so grumpy in the morning.  So getting out the door is a great perspective changer.

I am really sore.

This is a very good thing. It means I am putting forth an effort! 

Today I did 25 minutes on the eliptical machine, 25 crunches and some stretching. I stepped on the scale, and I have lost one pound since yesterday. Well, truthfully it's the same pound I keep losing and gaining over the last few weeks. But hey - a pound lost is a pound lost! (Is that a saying?) :)

Then I headed for the grocery store.  I'm currently loading up my crockpot for a hearty chili! I'm using ground turkey and ground beef, three types of beans, garlic, chipotle chiles, onions, and fire-roasted tomatoes. I also have a loaf of gluten free cornbread baking in the oven.

I love the clean, wet smell in the air.  I feel like the moisture goes right into the pores of my skin! 

Great day for a walk!

I'm off and running to have lunch with my son (Pho!) before I teach and go to choir practice.
