I had a really hard time with my allergies last night. Hacked like a smoker all night.
I was wondering if I would even be up to hooping this morning!
But I forced myself to get vertical, drank a big glass of water with vitamin C powder mixed in and grabbed my hoop before my bed could lure me back.
Once I got out in the sun, walking to my favorite tree, I started to feel more human. I had a good workout. I am hooping to Beethoven's Fifth Symphony today. How profound is that! It actually goes nicely with my hooping. The amusing thing is that I hooped without music and added it on Youtube afterwards and it syncs nicely!
A nice lady was walking on the track with her children. She stopped and asked about my hooping. I told her today was 33 days straight hooping. She was most impressed!
And suddenly I felt better.
I had a good grain free breakfast: sauerkraut (which is probiotic), chicken sausage (0 grams of sugar), cucumbers, kimchi (also probiotic!), and TZATZIKI (I am hooked!). I also had a big mug of black tea mixed with ginger tea.
I feel fabulous!
In Dr. Davis' books, he talks about how some people experience severe withdrawal symptoms during the grain detox. Perhaps that is partially what this is.
But my face does look better! I am feeling more hopeful today. And the thought of eating this way for the rest of my life is not too daunting anymore. My amazing roommate, who eats essentially a paleo diet gave me these words of wisdom: "Focus on all the wonderful things you CAN eat, rather than feel deprived about what you CAN'T eat."
Good words to live by!
I sat down and wrote down all the restaurants that I frequent, where I can get a good grain-free meal for less than $10. And I wrote down exactly what I can eat. It takes the guess work out! Plus I have my eating plan for eating at home and snacks tattooed in my brain.
I got this!
I am going out into this beautiful day to teach, walk, breathe, smile, and praise God! Not worrying about my next meal is most liberating!
Talk to you tomorrow!
Love,
Zita
