I had a wonderful interview yesterday! I will have to blog about that another time. As usual, I am needing to fly out the door!
However, I do feel like I am finding my way back to my path again.
I have a lovely soup simmering in the crockpot. It is lentil in beef stock full of vegetables: potatoes, onions, green pepper, garlic, and cabbage. Based on this recipe from sparkpeople.com: https://recipes.sparkpeople.com/recipe-detail.asp?recipe=513281
A divine aroma is filling the house. Perfect for a blustery, rainy day. There are actually high wind warnings. I am teaching today. I imagine my trusty umbrella will be turned inside out.
I am doing some morning yoga stretches to Rachmaninov. His 1st piano concerto. It suits the weather!
My hymn of the day is "Arise, My Soul Arise". Words by Charles Wesley (1707-1788). Music by Lewis Edson (1748-1820). Pertinent lyrics for today!
Happy Wednesday!

1 Arise, my soul, arise,
Shake off thy guilty fears,
The bleeding Sacrifice
In my behalf appears;
Before the throne my Savior stands:
My name is written on his hands.
Shake off thy guilty fears,
The bleeding Sacrifice
In my behalf appears;
Before the throne my Savior stands:
My name is written on his hands.
2 He ever lives above,
For me to intercede;
With his redeeming love,
His precious blood to plead;
His blood was spilt for all our race,
And sprinkles now the throne of grace.
For me to intercede;
With his redeeming love,
His precious blood to plead;
His blood was spilt for all our race,
And sprinkles now the throne of grace.
3 Five bleeding wounds he bears,
Received on Calvary;
They pour effectual prayers,
They strongly speak for me:
Forgive him, O forgive they cry!
Nor let that ransomed sinner die.
Received on Calvary;

They strongly speak for me:
Forgive him, O forgive they cry!
Nor let that ransomed sinner die.
4 The Father hears him pray,
His dear anointed one;
He cannot turn away
The presence of his Son:
His Spirit answers to the blood,
And tells me I am born of God.
His dear anointed one;
He cannot turn away
The presence of his Son:
His Spirit answers to the blood,
And tells me I am born of God.
5 To God I'm reconciled,
His pardoning voice I hear:
He owns me for his child,
I can no longer fear:
With confidence I now draw nigh,
And Father, Abba Father! cry.
His pardoning voice I hear:
He owns me for his child,
I can no longer fear:
With confidence I now draw nigh,
And Father, Abba Father! cry.
Happy Wednesday!
