Today I am having lunch with a friend downtown. Another day off! Spring break is coming to a close. But I am feeling quite refreshed. And reinspired to keep on living the good life!
Turkey chili is in the crockpot for dinner.
I just downed 20 ounces of water.
This afternoon I plan on practicing for my Easter Sunday church pianist audition for the congregation. Doing a good yoga session is also on my list. And a long walk. Tomorrow I will be going to the gym early with my daughter for more fun with calorie burning! Then home to cook a turkey for my daughter's 26th birthday celebration!
My psalm of the day is Psalm 15:

Psalm 15
1
Lord, who may dwell in your sacred tent?
Who may live on your holy mountain?
2
The one whose walk is blameless,
who does what is righteous,
who speaks the truth from their heart;
3
whose tongue utters no slander,
who does no wrong to a neighbor,
and casts no slur on others;
4
who despises a vile person
but honors those who fear the Lord;
who keeps an oath even when it hurts,
and does not change their mind;
5
who lends money to the poor without interest;
who does not accept a bribe against the innocent.
Whoever does these things
will never be shaken.
This psalm is known as a "wisdom psalm", according to commentary I found on The SVCC Pastors Notebook (https://symonsvalley.wordpress.com/2007/09/17/what-god-expects-from-you-psalm-15/)
"It is called a wisdom psalm. It aims to offer wise, practical advice to others. It is counsel, it is words to live by."
I like this psalm quite a lot. It is calming and peaceful, while offering a clear vision on what God looks for us in mere mortals. I am going to copy this down on a 3 x 5 card and carry it with me in my purse. A good one to memorize.
