The weather forecast for today is "Sunny. High 97; Low 69"
It is already scalding outside. The sky is a deep azure. The air is hot and heavy.
But the library is cool and quiet. Apparently, half of Vancouver had the same idea as me. I grabbed the last free computer terminal. And there at least 50 of them on this floor!
Even though I have never particularly cared for hot weather, I feel very good today. Tonight is the culmination of recital season. Our choir concert. Of course, our concert will be held on the hottest day of the year so far! 60 singers on stage, plus one director and one pianist!
Years ago, we were rehearsing for a concert and the power went out. With a big bang! And the moment it went black, the automatic doors slammed shut with a boom! It was like a horror movie. Without the scary bad guy and lots of blood.
I'm hoping for less drama tonight. Just a pleasant concert. In fact, overall less drama in my life would be quite fine!
I felt so good this morning that I decided it was time, once again to deal with this eating disorder of mine. I've decided to do intermittent fasting again. I am never hungry when I first get up, so I am planning on eating in an 8 hour window each day. Beginning at 12 p.m. and ending at 8 p.m.
I plan on starting each morning with lemon water and green tea. Then I'll care for my granddaughter, do household chores and feed her. When her mom comes home about noon, I'll finally be ready to eat.
Today I made a lovely curried dahl with red lentils, sauteed garlic, onions, mushrooms and tomatoes. I made rice for the rest of the household, but I served mine over a bit of leftover diced chicken.
I also had a banana before I headed out into the heat.
I am motivated to do this! I know I'm on year four. You have been very patient with me during my ups and downs.
But I feel like I can finally be successful in losing this excess weight. I would like to lose 50 pounds. I'm in no hurry. I will continue exercising, praying, reading, playing music and living my life in the meantime!
And I that note, I need to head out. Into the heat. Talk to you tomorrow!
Love,
Zita
P.S. I had a really good Qi Gong/Hoop Session this morning. Check it out! Day 84!
