I am devoting the rest of this mortal life to my health, my family kindness to others.
My harrowing experience with the hell flu scared some sense into me.
Fear can be a good motivator.
Ironically, I stumbled across the word "hygge" this morning as I allowed myself to stay in bed longer than usual. No Baby Gracy duty. Just getting healthy duty!
Hygge is just what I need. Remember my Samurai stage? Well I need that too. There is a middle ground somewhere, I believe.
So "hygge" is 'Pronounced "hoo-ga," this Danish concept cannot be translated to one single word but encompasses a feeling of cozy contentment and well-being through enjoying the simple things in life. If you've ever enjoyed reading a book indoors on a rainy Sunday or a cup of hot cocoa on a snow day you've experienced hygge without even knowing it.'

So I've been having a hygge day! I washed my linens, cleaned my room, had a nice hot shower and then headed up to Starbucks for a lovely breakfast sandwich and matcha green latte.
I grabbed a book I had request from the library. A "real" book. Paper pages that turn and everything! No electronic book for me on my hygge day.
And the weather was perfect! I breathed fresh air. Inhaled my book. Listened to music. Walked and smiled. Then I came back home, made my bed and had a nice hoop session.
I even plucked my eyebrows (and a few chin hairs...sorry for the TMI!). I was feeling so relaxed and, well, quite lovely! I headed out to the bus stop, en route to piano lessons. I was checking my phone for the arrival time when I heard a familiar voice.
A familiar MALE voice, I might add!
I glanced behind me.
I saw a bus at the stop across the street. With a smiling middle aged man's head poking out the side window.
"Hi!", he bellowed.
It was my old favorite driver "D"!
"Hi!", I bellowed back across the road.
We stared and smiled for several seconds.
Then he said. "You're going the wrong way!"
To which I said, "No, YOU'RE going the wrong way!"
He chuckled and waved. The bus pulled out into traffic.
I watched him drive off. I wondered if he was driving this line again. He was the driver I had many charming conversations with when I first moved to Milwaukue last year.
So much has changed.
"And now I am moving in the right direction!", I said to myself.
Just then my bus pulled up. I got on.
I am still smiling.
Happy Tuesday!
Love,
Zita
P.S. Here is today's hooping video. Day 267!
