I woke to the sound of rain on the roof heavy rain. I had planned on popping out of bed early and hitting the gym before my students. But the rain lulled me back to sleep.
I guess I will hit the gym after my students today. I have another bit if a break today. No breakfast with mom. No morning studrbts, including my mom. The church where I teach on Saturdays is holding a nenirial service. I usually teach my students on the grand piano in the sanctuary. A lovely grand.
But today that lovely grand is not available until afternoon.
My wheezing is gone. Cough is fading. God bless Prednisone.
But it does tend to give me disturbing dreams. So I got vertical, did my morning hoop session and headed out the door in search of breakfast.
It was a lovely walk to the bus stop. I decided to eat at Larry's this morning. And I am so glad I did! I got to visit with the server and owner, had a lovely, small breakfast (yes, that is toast on my plate. I am doing am experiment. I'm adding a bit of sourdough bread back into my diet. But smaller portions. And still working on keeping the carbs and sugars low. So far, I am feeling better. And maybe that scale will budge yet! However, if the gluten messes with me, I'll just ditch it again. Easy as pie! Oy. Pie. No pie for this girl!)
My new system is smaller meals. And I got a cool little plastic container to carry snacks with me on the road teaching. I stuff it with hummus, veggies, nuts and dried fruits. And leftovers from meals if the portions are too large.
I love a system!
But the best part about my decision is that I discovered the Clackamas Book Exchange has opened a store in the same parking lot as Larry's Restaurant! I was ecstatic! Jumping for joy! Most excited am
I!
I popped in after breakfast and bought 4 books for the Schnood for $6.00!
Again, jumping for joy! :)
I cannot wait to read them to her! The Baby Donald Baby Minnie books, I read to my kids when they were little. And I found a children's book in Spanish. My daughter has Spanish blood. And I have been meaning to really learn Spanish one day. Maybe the Schnood and I can learn together!
I am doing a quick blog here a the library. Then I am meeting my son for pho and then off to the gym I go!
If I am indeed pre-diabetic, I know for a fact that exercise is highly advised!
So I am going to dash off. But I wish you a lovely evening.
Talk to you tomorrow!
Love,
Zita
P.S. Here is today's hooping video. Day 246! :)
