I had another restless night, and woke up very early.
But I feel better today. Less pain.
I did a quick prayer and wrote in my prayer journal, while I had my morning tea. Then I stretched.
I am on my way to Mass and then teaching.
I was mistaken about the sugar content of my smoothie the other day. There were actually 40 GRAMS of sugar!! It read 20 grams, but that was for one serving. The bottle contained two servings. I drank the whole bottle. All 40 grams of sugar!
No wonder I was having heart palpitations.
Live and learn. I bought myself a kombucha tea yesterday. 5 grams of sugar and 30 calories. I had a late, small dinner, but I think I would definitely do well to stay away from the sugar. From first hand experience now!
My hymn of the day is "All Ye Who Seek a Comfort Sure". Words by Edward Caswell. Traditional English melody. Very soothing and comforting. I will have to sing this during the day to keep myself in good spirits. Lack of sleep can mess with my mood!
"All ye who seek a comfort sure
in trouble and distress,
whatever sorrow vex the mind,
or guilt the soul oppress:
Jesus, who gave himself for you
upon the cross to die,
opens to you his sacred heart;
oh, to that heart draw nigh.
Ye hear how kindly he invites;
ye hear his words so blest:
'all ye that labor come to me,
and I will give you rest.'
Jesus, thou joy of saints on high,
thou hope of sinners here,
attracted by those loving words
to thee I lift my prayer."

Tomorrow is Valentine's Day. Since I am single, I am not concerned about receiving flowers or candy. But geeky mom that I am, I will probably surprise my quite adult children with something special.
Happy Saturday!
